Cogent’s CEO Dave Schaeffer is active and accessible. He's a serial entrepreneur who started six companies before founding Cogent. He meets with government regulators the world over with a particular focus in the US meeting with Congress to educate and champion industry specific causes. Each year, he commits to visiting each of the 38 sales offices across North America and Europe. Dave has an all hands call with the entire company every other week during which anyone is empowered to ask questions. He drops by New Hire Training whenever his schedule allows, and invites new employees to ask him anything. A lot of CEOs talk about having an open door policy, but Dave means it. In addition, as the public face of our company, Dave regularly speaks at investor conferences around the globe. Here a link to his recent travels, including webcasts. |
Dave’s leadership has been recognized by those far beyond Cogent. In 2017, he won the Top Rated CEO award from Owler! |
